MISS Warrington 2006 has been named - but in a controversial decision, once again the glamorous girl is not from the town.
Ashley McKeever, aged 18, is actually from Orrell, Wigan.
Last year the title was won by 19-year-old Kelly Murrell of Runcorn.
And in March, Danielle Lloyd, a model from Liverpool won Miss Great Britain after being named as the representative for Warrington.
Reports this week suggest that she may be stripped of the title after agreeing to appear in Playboy.
Organisers defended the decision explaining that the Miss Warrington contest is not limited to those living within the boundaries of the borough.
Bedazzled Models of Liverpool
believe Ashley has a great chance of winning the national title and will proudly represent Warrington.
A spokesman said: "She is not only astoundingly beautiful, naturally glamorous and photogenic, but incredibly intelligent and grounded for her age.
"She has focus, on her career and education, and will shortly start a degree in law at Preston University.
"We feel she could be a fantastic ambassador for England."
