STRETTON Cricket Club had a miserable weekend as all three of their sides suffered defeats.
The first team hosted Old Parkonians and the match turned out to be a thriller.
Old Parkonians were struggling on 66 for 5 but injuries hampered Stretton and the visitors recovered to make 200 despite 3 for 86 from Ben Clissold.
Stretton then attacked the target, with Iain Hill making 75 and Faisal Maqsood hitting 49, but they agonisingly lost by two runs after being bowled out for 198 with the last ball.
The second team were beaten by five wickets by Barrow despite Andrew Hughes making 36 and Bryan Jones amassing 35 as Stretton made 156 for 5 in their innings.
Stretton's Sunday side also lost by five wickets against Ashley, who hit the winning runs from the last ball of the match.
Mark Critchley made 70 as Stretton posted 227 for 5 but Ashley reached the victory target despite Richard Lyons' figures of 2 for 42.
