A 40-YEAR-old motorist has been killed following a four-car pile up on the M62.
The dead man from Oldham was driving a blue Fiat Dublo which collided with a black Audi A3 at junction nine on Tuesday at 7pm.
The smash involved two other vehicles, a black Ford Wagon and grey Toyota Aventis on the eastbound carriageway.
A spokesman for Warrington
police said: "Sadly, the 40-year-old died from his injuries at Warrington Hospital."
Officers closed the motorway while dealing with the incident which resulted in four miles of traffic tailbacks.
