WARRINGTON'S loss against Hull Kingston Rovers on Sunday was their first defeat against a lower division club in the 109-year history of the Challenge Cup.
The club had previously lost six matches against sides from outside the top division in other cup competitions since the two-division system was reintroduced in 1973.
The league mainly operated as one large division before then.
