A WINSFORD man has admitted assaulting a shop keeper following a long running feud over unpaid wages.
Derek Turner, 45, of Saxon Crossway, walked into Nip In, High Street, on May 13 before assaulting worker Selina Parvine and smashing a brush.
Turner, who was drunk, entered the store demanding money he claims is owed to his wife before smashing the brush and threatening and grabbing the worker by the arms.
Chris Johnson, defending, said: "His wife worked at Nip In, they weren't paid wages and they took it to an industrial tribunal and won.
"They still weren't paid and it all became a bit too much for Mr Turner.
"It is now something he regrets and wishes to apologise unreservedly."
Val Godfrey, chairman of the bench, adjourned the case until June 28 for reports to be made.
