A WINSFORD vicar is hoping to allay some of the myths surrounding The Da Vinci Code during a meeting tonight, Wednesday.
The Rev Tim Hanson, from Christ Church Wharton, is asking members of the public, regardless of faith, to attend the meeting and take part in a lively debate about the hugely successful Dan Brown novel.
He said: "It is important to discuss the issues surrounding The Da Vinci Code because many people see it as an attack on Christianity.
"I would like to discuss this with people and talk to them about the real meanings of Christianity and also discuss the book itself because many people accept what the author writes as the truth.
"This is not an attack on Christianity in my eyes and I want to turn it into a positive thing by involving people in religion who wouldn't usually do so."
The meeting will take place at the church hall, in Crook Lane, at 8pm.
