FORMER Steps singer Faye Tozer and one time Doctor Who Sylvester McCoy are among the stars of a new version of the classic musical Me And My Girl.
Stephen Fry has helped to revise this new 70th anniversary production, which will be playing in Manchester, Stoke and Liverpool.
Me and My Girl has been keeping family audiences entertained since it was first performed at the Victoria Palace Theatre, London, in 1937.
Fans love its instantly recognisable songs such as Leaning On a Lamppost, The Sun Has Got His Hat On, Me And My Girl and the irrepressibly rousing Lambeth Walk.
It stars Richard Frame (Promises, Promises) as Bill and Faye Tozer as Sally. Faye's public profile may have fallen since the demise of Steps five years ago, but she has been busily earning her spurs in the theatre, playing in the UK tour of Tell Me On A Sunday and The Space Vixens.
She is now back in a recording studio working on her first solo album.
Richard and Faye, right, will be joined on stage by Trevor Bannister, who played Mr Lucas in Are You Being Served?, Dillie Keane and Sylvester McCoy.
Me and My Girl plays at the Palace Theatre, Manchester, from September 19 to 30, the Regent Theatre in Stoke, from December 4 to 9, and Liverpool Empire from January 15 to 27.
