MID Cheshire's newest showcase for comedy talent kicks off its shows on Friday, promising to bring top-notch rib ticklers to the area every month.
The Purple Cactus Club, based at Northwich Memorial Hall, hopes its very own fab four will make the night one to remember.
Kicking off the fun is ex-Southend goalkeeper Terry Alderton, with his exuberant, loose-limbed physical comedy act, followed by larger than life stand up comedian, writer and actor Jeff Innocent.
Australian Kitty Flanagan, right, is up next, bringing her paranoid, tall storytelling to the memorial hall.
And finally Scouser Brendan Riley will bring his lively blend of anecdotes, gags and inspired improvisation to the mix.
Tickets are £10 on the door or £9 in advance. For details, call 01606 814640 or 867539, or email purplecactus@valeroyal.gov.uk.
The Guardian has three pairs of tickets to give away for the first Purple Cactus stand up night.
To be in with a chance of winning, ring reporter Gemma Sproston on 01606 813624 with the answer to the following question: What nationality is Kitty Flanagan?
Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis and the competition closes at 5pm tonight, Wednesday.
