KNIGHTS Grange Veterans Golf Society celebrated their 20th anniversary last week with a gala day at the course.
The special day of celebrations included a nine hole golf competition for the Founders Trophy, which included mini tournaments for nearest the pin and the longest drive, on designated holes.
This was followed by a putting competition.
After the sporting action, the veterans attended a presentation evening at Wharton Cons.
Syd Woods was presented with the Founders Trophy while further awards went to John Pattison (best gross Division One), Joe Davies (best gross Division Two), Dorothy Gibson (best lady), Syd Woods (longest drive), Norman Kirby (nearest the pin) and Arthur Dormer (putting).
Engraved crystal glasses were also handed to the founder members of the society.
