A KNUTSFORD man who harassed an old school friend is still awaiting his punishment.
Anthony Davenport was told last week that the probation service had not had time to make an appointment to see him.
Officials had been asked to write a report on May 10.
But by last Friday Davenport, 37, of Manor Park North, was still unsure of his fate.
At the hearing at Cheshire Magistrates' Court, chairman of the bench Valerie Young was unhappy at the delay.
"It's unacceptable and deeply unsatisfying for everybody concerned, including the defendant," she said.
Davenport last month admitted making the woman's life a misery, even though they had known each other for more than 25 years.
Magistrates have warned him they are not ruling out a spell behind bars.
The case was adjourned until June 26.
