A BARNTON man has appeared in Northwich Magistrates' Court charged with 20 counts of child pornography stretching back almost 18 months.
John Goodier, of Spencer Street, stood before magistrates on Thursday accused of two charges of causing or inciting a child aged 13 to 17 years to prostitution or pornography.
The offences are alleged to have happened in a period from July 19, 2004, to January 9 this year.
Goodier, 44, who has not entered a plea yet, is also facing seven charges of taking indecent photographs of children.
Two of the allegations relate to dates on or about January 7, three of them are alleged to have occurred on or about January 13, and two of them on or about July 19.
There are nine charges of making indecent photos or pseudo photos.
Three of the offences are alleged to have occurred on or about February 1, one offence on or about July 30, one offence on or about March 23 and four offences on or about July 3.
Goodier is also accused of possessing an indecent photograph of a child for distribution on March 22 and distributing an indecent photograph of a child on or about January 14.
His case was adjourned to Northwich Magistrates' Court on December 1 when he is expected to enter a plea.
