STAFF at the Warrington Guardian swept the board at this year's Newsquest Cheshire/Merseyside awards.
The annual award ceremony, this year held at the home of Everton FC, Goodison Park, saw awards for Cheshire's biggest selling weekly newspaper.
Winners included Mick Middles, who was named commercial feature writer of the year, Margaret Westhead, who was commercial feature page designer of the year and Mike Parsons who was named sports page designer of the year.
Sub editor Steven Hallmark was named headline writer of the year for the third successive year while transport reporter Stephen Bailey picked up three prizes as journalist of the year, feature writer of the year and runner up in the Internet initiative section and Jenni Carroll was named reporter of the year.
Runners up included Sarah Harker in the feature writer section, Rebecca Kelly in the trainee reporter section, Michelle Corbett, in the commercial feature writer category, Andrea Gilbert in the features designer section, Nicola Priest in the page designer of the year section and front page design category and Darren Tudor in the news photographic section
