CONGLETON man Stephen Dowling appeared in court this week charged with threatening to kill a woman and a police officer.
Dowling, aged 44, from Priory Close, was charged on Sunday in relation to an incident at a house in Congleton on Saturday.
Police were called to a property in Priory Close in the Mossley area at 3am, and found a woman in the house with serious injuries.
She was taken to Macclesfield Hospital for treatment.
Dowling is charged with seven offences, including two offences of making threats to kill.
He also faces charges of possessing an imitation firearm, aggravated burglary, and three motoring offences, taking a vehicle without consent and driving while disqualified and with no insurance.
Dowling appeared before South Cheshire Magistrates at Crewe on Monday.
He was remanded in custody until next Tuesday, October 11, when he will appear at Chester Crown Court.
