A SCHEME to allow youngsters to swim for free has seen a 100 per cent increase in attendance at the town's leisure centres.
Warrington Borough Council ran the scheme during the summer holidays and more than 22,000 children took part - an increase on the 10,500 who used the pools last year.
Clr Maureen Banner, executive member for wellbeing, said: "The benefits and possibilities of future schemes and partnerships with transport will be considered."
