A SEALED bid auction is being held by the Warrington Disability Partnership this week.
Readers have the chance to bid for an authenticated, signed photo of Muhammad Ali play-fighting with the Beatles, valued at £4,500, and a England 1966 World Cup shirt, signed by nine of the players including hat-trick hero Geoff Hurst and Jack Charlton, valued at £3,500.
Proceeds will go towards supporting the Warrington Guardian's charity of the year whose work involves the specially-fitted holiday caravan in North Wales and the refurbishment of the Wizard canal boat.
Bids can be either e-mailed or posted to partnership spokesman Jon Menzies by Monday, October 10, with the winner for each item to be announced next week.
Each entry must have the bidder's full name and contact details (or they will be rejected) the item/items they want to bid for and the highest bid they're willing to make for each item (bids cannot be lumped together).
Due to the unique nature and value of these items, realistic reserve prices will be set. Post your bids to Jon Menzies, Centre for Independent Living, Beaufort Street, Warrington Disability Partnership, WA5 1BA or e-mail j.menzies@disabilitypartnership.
