BLUEPRINTS for what the new Modus town centre development should look like will be submitted in the next week.
Clr Terry O'Neill, executive member for regeneration for Warrington Borough Council, said the plans for the vast Winwick Street development will meet the standards the council expects.
In replying to a question from Liberal Democrat Clr Celia Jordan at Monday's full council meeting, he said the scheme would be the gateway to Warrington town centre.
He added: "We do pre-application negotiations with developers and that is the best way to do it.
"We discuss where the site is and what our policy is.
"We see Winwick Street as a focal point, it will draw people into the town.
"The developers will have to deliver what we want."
