Warrington 3rd 12
Newton 2nd 33
NEWTON RUFC's second team kept their unbeaten league sequence intact with a win at Warrington's thirds.
They fell behind in a rain-soaked opening 10 minutes as Warrington crossed, but J Taylor then ran the length of the field to score.
McKenna scooped up a loose ball and touched down to put Newton in front, although Warrington replied with a try before half time to reduce the deficit to two points.
The visitors started the second half strongly, with T Bowey touching down and Taylor adding his second from close range.
And stand-off Hallard put the icing on the cake by stretching over to push Newton over the 30-point mark and secure a convincing win.
