Shevington u15 36
A LACKLUSTRE display from a below strength Newton outfit cost them against Shevington.
Storm conceded possession too frequently and had to defend for long periods, although Andrew Barratt impressed enough to take the player of the match and top tackler awards after completing 25 tackles.
Lewis O'Neill was the most improved player with solid contributions in attack and defence, while Adam Downs' kicking game earned him the referee's player of the match honour.

NEWTON'S under eights showed commitment to defeat a Widnes Moorfield outfit that only managed to field seven players.
Top tackler Jacob Hankey crossed from dummy half to give Storm the lead in their first set of six tackles, while Garry Stanton stepped past three defenders and powered over for their second try.
A strong run on the left wing allowed player of the match Liam Beckett to add another before the interval, and Michael Carney finished a good move to score Newton's first try of the second half.
Joshua Hankey then went over for two tries either side of Daniel Lynch's effort, and Carney grabbed his second try after a superb solo run. Ellis Anderson won the coaches' award after putting in his best performance of the season.
