PROPOSALS for changes to Nantwich schools also include the enlargement of certain sites.
This would create space for pupils of closing schools.
Audlem St James' Primary School would increase admission numbers to 30 in 2006, to accommodate children from the closure-threatened Buerton Primary.
Pear Tree Primary could undergo a two-class extension to increase their roll from 150 to 210.
The population of Stapeley and surrounding areas has mushroomed in recent years.
Headteacher Mary Hennessy-Jones said: "These changes are very exciting for the children and will provide the best opportunities for them."
Wistaston Westfield Infant and Junior Schools could merge on the existing site to form a primary school with 60 places.
And Wyche Primary School, in Manor Road, has a proposed addition of a new-style Children's Centre in the plans, subject to feasibility work, which would be used for the school and wider community.
