WARRINGTON Schoolboys under 11s rugby league team were successful in a festival that they hosted at William Beamont Sports College on Saturday.
Representative teams from Wigan, Widnes, St Helens, Oldham and Salford joined the hosts in a round-robin competition.
The young Wolves were unbeaten in their three matches against Wigan, Salford and Widnes.
Squad: Jake Slydell, James Clayton, David Lee, Jack Johnson, Chris Hunt, Allan King, Declan Patton, James Russon, Luke Walker, Lewis Charnock, Ashley Cox, Ben Walker, Callum Wright, Mike Wharton, Harry Files, Matthew Wilkinson, Andre Savelio, Joshua Wall.
Warrington went into the festival on the back of a 10-6 defeat at Widnes in their opening game of the season.
A Chris Hunt try, converted by Declan Patton, gave the young Wolves a fine start and Warrington dominated the entire game with territory, but could not again break down a resolute Widnes defence.
