YOUNG and old came together to celebrate 60 years since the end of the Second World War - thanks to a National Lottery grant.
St Stephen's Lourdes coach group won funding to the tune of £775 to hold a special Veterans' Day street party for the community.
The event was held in St Stephen's club in Orford and while veterans reminisced, younger generations dressed up in costume from the day, brought along gas masks and dressed as Land Army girls.
Lourdes coach group leader Kathleen McElroy said: "The event was a great success. The veterans really enjoyed themselves and the young people got the chance to thank them for what they did for us in the war."
