THE brother of missing Cheshire student Steve Cook is appearing on national Greek television to appeal for information.
Steve, 20, has not been seen since enjoying a night out with his friends on holiday in Malia, Crete on August 31.
After extensive searches of the Greek island by Steve's family and friends didn't turn up any clues, brother Chris has decided to take the hunt to the Greek media.
The 30-year-old, from Sandbach, Cheshire, is to appear on national TV show The Light At The End Of The Tunnel on Friday 7 October at 11pm Greek time.
The Crimewatch style show focuses on missing persons and Chris thinks it's a positive step in the hunt for his younger brother.
Speaking from Athens he said: "Finally, we're getting the chance to speak to the whole of Greece, not just the people in Crete.
"And it's an opportunity to debunk all the rumours that have been flying around about what's happened to Steve."
The live TV show has been running for eleven years and in that time found more than 830 people.
Chris, who will be appearing on it with his friend Steven Charles, said: "On Thursday we put together some DVD footage of Steve on holiday and at our brother's wedding for the show. And on the night we'll be doing live interviews.
"Viewers will be calling in during the show if they have any information about where Steve might be."
