LYMM'S Poplar 2000 service area has won an unusual top award for the fourth year in succession.
The service station, on the M6, scooped Loo of the Year 2005 after wowing judges with cleanliness and hygiene in the toilets.
Brian Larkin, operations director, said: "Around 1,000 people a day use the toilets at Lymm and because they are used round the clock, every single day of the year, keeping them clean is a mammoth task.
"Winning this award for the fourth year in a row is a tribute to the hard work put in by our cleaning staff."
Judges visited more than 1,000 public toilets before making their decision.
