Walkers u14 3
Warr Town Jnrs u14 1
WALKERS scored two late goals to edge past Warrington Town Juniors in under 14s Division One of the Warrington Junior Soccer League.
The home side were good value for the win, and after Ryan Wan had seen his shot go narrowly wide, they took the lead as Jack Henebery prodded home a cross from Brian Gallagher.
But Henebery then missed several gilt-edged chances and Gallagher was denied by the Town keeper as Walkers, who were expertly guided by midfield duo Matthew Dodd and Dean Lucas, failed to press home their dominance.
They were made to pay when Town equalised as Adam Lee's effort slipped through the Walkers keeper's hands.
Henebery then struck the post as Walkers anxiously searched for a winner, but it did come in the last minute as Ben Smith's scuffed shot found its way past an otherwise brilliant Cameron Brown.
And Henebery capitalised on a smart centre by Smith to finally get his second of the game soon afterwards and seal Walkers' win.
