WE welcomed four new members to our September meeting.
We had a fascinating talk by Dawn Michelle Seddon, founder of The Circus of the Moon. She brought along many of her creations and spoke of her rise from an art student at Stockport College in 1991 to the creation of her business.
She started by producing watercolour prints of flowers on greetings cards and this led to funding by The Prince's Trust to where she is now - a very successful woman who is going from strength to strength, introducing new ideas and products from quilting fabrics, balloons, pictures and decorated plates by Royal Doulton and her beautiful hand crafted enamelled boxes.
An exhibition of her work and products will be held at The Turnpike Gallery, Leigh, from December 9 to mid January 2006.
The raffle was won by Avril Spooner and an enamelled object was won by Ivy Gillies. Our AGM will be held on October 19 at 7.45pm followed by cheese and wine.
