LAST orders have been declared for licensees in Golborne and Lowton.
More than 150 pubs, clubs, off licences and late-night hot food premises have been warned they risk operating illegally from November.
Under the Government's new Licensing Act, councils have taken over the role of issuing Justices' licences that allow them to serve alcohol.
Wigan Council has written one last time to the minority 10 per cent of such premises that have so far failed to heed repeated warnings.
Wigan Council's licensing manager, Maurice Dearden said: "They could be in for a shock, because if they continue operating without a licence after November 24 they face a £20,000 fine and up to six months imprisonment."
