A YOUNG illustrator has had her second children's book published.
Louise Ho, from The Parchments, in Newton, has been illustrating for less than two years but has already produced two books.
Graduating from the University of Central Lancashire in 2003, now she has provided the artwork for Kenneth Steven's The Sea Mice and the Stars.
The 24-year-old said: "Being an illustrator was a dream of mine since I was young.
"Children's books are an interesting area of illustration, I'm given a basic outline and then I use whatever I can get from the story, so it's quite creative.
"I get plenty of feedback from my little cousins, it's astonishing what little kids see that other people miss out!"
The Sea Mice and the Stars is Louise's second children's book, and follows One Magical Morning, both published by Little Tiger Press.
Aimed at children between four and seven, the book tells the tale of two young sea mice who go in search of magical falling stars.
The artist took an art foundation course after leaving school, before attaining her degree in illustration, and she hopes to write her own book one day.
