DISGRUNTLED residents of Victoria Court in Widnes have sent a petition to Halton Council demanding that ball games become prohibited in the area.
The petition, which contained 20 signatures from local people, was sent to the council at the end of last month.
One resident said: "Kids play football on the other side of the wall.
"They're about 14 and 15 and kick the ball all over the place. It gets kicked over the wall into people's gardens a lot of the time because it's not high enough.
"So they're always climbing over the wall to get into people's gardens to get their ball back.
"I know they've got to play somewhere and I wouldn't mind so much if they were from round here but they're not."
Another local man added: "Some of the kids boot the ball hard against people's garages."
Mandy Davies of Halton Council confirmed the petition had been received and has now been forwarded to the Strategic Director, Community and Health for investigation and was being dealt with as a management issue.
