A MIDDLEWICH man who pedalled 270 miles to Paris for charity has returned home a little tired but glowing with pride.
Geoff Page, of Lewin Street, took part in the 10th annual Pedal To Paris to raise money for Middlewich Royal British Legion and has described the experience as 'extremely emotional'.
Geoff, 49, set off from London on September 8 and travelled for four days to the French capital.
He and fellow cyclists were met by a police escort and rode en masse to the Arc de Triomphe where they attended a poignant ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Geoff said: "It was a very humbling and emotional experience.
"It was a heck of a journey but having the crowd cheer us on in Paris was something else. It really does get you when you get to the last stretch."
Geoff raised around £1,500 for the Royal British Legion.
