MOTORISTS are warned to be careful after a spate of car break-ins at a hotel car park in Middlewich.
Three vehicles were targeted in the Travelodge car park, on Holmes Chapel Road, overnight between September 26 and the following day and another vehicle was targeted three days later.
Thieves damaged driver's side locks of a silver Ford Mondeo and a blue Volkswagen Passat but failed to break into either vehicle.
But a selection of birthday presents, including a sterling silver ruler, a ceramic model of a Smart car and a photograph album, were stolen from a Mazda Demio after thieves managed to open the boot.
On Thursday, September 29, thieves forced open the passenger side doors and rear doors of a Mercedes Sprinter and stole power tools, including a generator, drill and hammer drill.
PC Mike Senior, of Middlewich CAT team, said: "If anyone has anything valuable in their car my advice is to take it into the hotel with you."
Anyone with any information about the incidents should contact the CAT team on 0845 458 6382.
