As the Guardian reported last week, motorcyclist Thomas Wyche, 42, of Hayes Drive, was killed after sustaining injuries in a Soot Hill crash on Sunday, September 25.
In another statement to the Guardian this week, the family spoke about the former Hartford High pupil.
They said: "Tommy Wyche was devoted to his wife Paula and daughter Georgia and was proud to admit how much he loved them.
"Their enjoyment in life was his main concern and if they were happy he could spend time on his other passion, motorcycles.
"He would meticulously clean and adjust things to perfection, then be up and away, touring this country as well as abroad.
"He had recently returned from a motorcycle trip with friends to the south of France and Austria."
Thomas was also popular with his workmates. The statement continued: "He served his apprenticeship with Charles Barber in Northwich.
"He married and moved to South Africa where he started his own business which turned out to be very successful but he returned to Barbers as a master technician.
"His rapport with his colleagues was second to none. He enjoyed work and felt it was like an extended family.
"He was an avid Liverpool supporter and relished being in Liverpool with his family the night they returned home with the Champions League trophy.
"Tommy enjoyed socialising - any event could soon turn into a riotous affair and Tommy would no doubt have that look in his eye, acting up or pretending to be someone else and be the star of the show."
