Ever improving winger Joe Ellis scored two tries to earn the man of the match award, while Paul McCafferty converted and also added a penalty.
A questionable decision by the referee disallowed a good McCafferty try which would have sealed the game.
But then came the last minute heartache after a lapse in the defence which consigned Park to an 18-15 defeat.
l A SPARKLING performance from Paul Wilkinson saw him create four of the five tries for Winnington Vagabonds as they crushed Ashton on Mersey 27-5.
A Wilkinson break helped Paul Almond to score the first, converted by Ben Elliot, then a tricky sidestep from Wilkinson allowed Andy Lindley over for the first of his two tries.
Elliot and Chris Murphy added further tries after more pressure and intelligient play from man of the match Wilkinson.
l MICHAEL Morton got Park Junior Colts off to a good start against Stockport with an early try after a 40 yard run.
Stand off Ben Elliot fired just wide with the conversion and Stockport fought back with a converted try.
Elliot put Park in the lead by just one point at half time with a well taken penalty.
Despite good performances by Will Winter and Gareth Clwyd-Jones, Stockport used their 28-man squad to good effect and their fresh legs were too much for Park's U17s, who lost 35-8.
l NORTHWICH 2nds and 3rds enjoyed an excellent weekend at Moss Farm.
The 2nds beat Chester 32-14 with tries from Andy Stanley, Jonty Whitby, Ian Haddock, Olli Watts and Adam Lang.
Brett Stanley converted two tries and added a penalty.
Northwich 3rds beat Buxton 7-0 in a tight game.
A Mark James try and a conversion from Ricky Evans secured the victory.
