PROMOTING mental health is a top priority, say health chiefs.
A new directory has been launched to provide comprehensive details of all the support that is available for parents and children.
"It is hoped that it will be a valuable source of information in helping to satisfy the mental health needs of parents and children," said a spokesperson for Halton Primary Care Trust (PCT).
Halton parental and child mental health forum was set up two years ago to identify gaps in provision.
It aims to encourage a multi- agency approach to promote mental health for mums before and after children are born and as young families are growing up.
The forum meets throughout Widnes and Runcorn.
The directory will be available at local libraries, GP practices, health centres, Sure Starts and CABs.
