AROUND 30 jobs will be lost at Twyford Bathrooms following slow sales and poor market forecasts.
The cuts will be made at the Alsager plant next month, affecting mainly temporary positions in the commercial and administration departments.
A company spokesman said: "Market conditions have been difficult - we got off to a slow start this year and forecasts are not looking good for the near future."
The company currently employs around 600 people to supply bathroom products to domestic and commercial sectors.
A full review of business was carried out which concluded restructuring was needed . Now accounts departments have merged.
The spokesman added: "We have already started to reduce manufacturing output and cut back overtime at the plant in Lawton Road.
"It is very sad but necessary for the long-term future of the company."
