SPY cameras could be the solution to residents in Love Lane who are running a gauntlet of hate from late night revellers.
That's the view of landlord Dennis Lumborg, who is protesting about late licensing for the White Horse pub in Pillory Street.
He says an 85-year-old tenant in nearby Love Lane has had her front window punched through and a bottle has been hurled through another householder's upstairs window.
Love Lane Antiques has had a letterbox ripped from the wall and drinkers have been spotted climbing on the wall of the Gas Flame shop and the roof of the Jade House Chinese restaurant.
The Spirit Group wants to serve alcohol at the White Horse until 1am every night of the week and provide entertainment and other refreshments before a 2am closing time.
Mr Lumborg, who along with his son manages four properties in Love Lane, says this will only add to their tenants' woes.
Already he has caught drinkers urinating against the walls and had to fit a security gate to prevent one alleyway from becoming a public toilet.
"All of these events were reported to the police and a request has been made for us to have a CCTV camera covering Love Lane to help control this disturbing behaviour," he told licensing chiefs.
Campaigners from Pillory Street and Barker Street have also registered their opposition to the White Horse's bid.
Meanwhile the Union Vaults pub, in High Street, wants to serve booze until 12.30am Sundays to Wednesdays and 2am Thursdays to Saturdays.
Neighbours are also upset about their application.
Paul Collins and Sue Lunn, of High Street, claim the bar is already a bad neighbour, with the noise from a disco already causing serious sleep deprivation for the pair.
The White Horse proposals will be ruled upon by licensing councillors on Monday while the Union Vaults hearing is set to take place tomorrow, Friday, at Crewe's Municipal Buildings.
