POLICE still have no witnesses to an incident in Longbarn last week that left a cyclist with a fractured skull.
They are still appealing for information after the 37-year-old was found on a pavement in Harpers Road.
Officers have now interviewed the man but he does not remember how the accident happened.
"He could have been knocked off by a car or he could have fallen off. It's a bit of a mystery," said accident investigator Sgt Mikes Jones.
Doctors hope the man will make a full recovery although he is still in Warrington Hospital.
The cyclist was discovered by motorists on Tuesday, September 20, at 2.30pm near the junction with Pasture Lane.
Anyone with information should contact Sgt Mikes Jones on 01244 613813 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
