A MOORE school is top of the class after receiving a glowing Ofsted report.
Pupils and teachers were delighted after Government inspectors gave Moore Primary School a mark of excellence, the highest rank possible.
The report described the school as 'a good effective school with many very good features where all pupils achieve well in all subjects.'
The school received very good teaching results in all core areas while the range of extra curricular activities was also praised
Jan McDonald, head teacher, said: "I am so pleased that the team work within the school has been celebrated.
"Children, parents and governors work together to create this happy, exciting environment where children thrive.
"Without this enthusiasm and dedication, the school would be nothing.
Inspectors called the school a 'harmonious, friendly, community which is successfully developing pupils' confidence and self esteem.'
"It confirms what we already know."
"That this is a great school and one which we are proud to call ours," added Mrs McDonald.
