AN award winning apprentice is hoping his garden career will flourish.
Peter Carson, from Leigh, works as a warehouse team leader at Bents garden centre in Glazebury and has been named an apprentice of the year at an Alliance Learning award ceremony. Peter has been studying for an NVQ.
Speaking after the ceremony, the 21-year-old said: "I would recommend an apprenticeship to anyone. It was a very proud moment, my mum and dad were there and I had a night to remember."
