WINSFORD Ladies thrashed Vauxhall 7-1 in their first home game of the season to secure their first win in Cheshire and Manchester Division One.
Winsford were the better team throughout and would have been three up in the first 20 minutes had it not been for a combination of poor finishing and hitting the woodwork on three occasions.
The breakthrough came on 22 minutes from a well worked goal which saw an excellent cross from Becky Hilditch headed in at the far post by Kylie Kettle.
Winsford continued to press and were rewarded on 38 minutes when Vauxhall failed to clear a corner and full back Kathryn Hulme added the second.
The game was effectively won on 40 minutes when Danielle Lydiate scored from an excellent free kick.
The second half saw Winsford continue to dominate the game and create a number of chances.
They went 4-0 up on 64 minutes from player of the match Sarah Lee.
Vauxhall scored on 70 minutes, but Winsford were not finished, Lee and Kettle both bagged a brace before Laura Renshaw completed the 7-1 rout in the final minute.
