NORTHWICH Cricket Club celebrated another successful junior season with the annual presentation held last week.
The U9s finished as runners up in the South Cheshire Association and batsman of the year was Harry Pickup while Matthew Dufty was named bowler of the year.
Overall player of the year was captain Andrew Dufty who also represented the county in the U10s development squad.
The U11s suffered a difficult season in the North Cheshire Association with a number of games lost to the weather.
Batsman of the year was Sam Hunt, bowler of the year was James Plant and player of the season was James Power.
The U13s competed in the county league and despite a difficult start finished the season as runners up in the shield.
The age group was dominated by Chris Yearsley who took all three awards in a season which saw him selected for the league representative side and earn a regular place in the senior 2nds.
The U15s won the county league plate competition with a strong side that produced a number of regulars in the senior teams, including Martyn East and Lee Evans who featured for the 1sts on their way to the Cheshire Alliance Division One title.
Lee Evans took the batting award, Mike Whitehead was the bowler of the year and Martyn East was the player of the year.
Evans also won the U19s batting award, while Matthew Jamieson took the bowling honours and Nigel Goolding was player of the year.
The evening was rounded off with farewells to two of the club's coaches.
Olly Steriopulus is relocating to the Isle of Man and Nick Shaw is moving to Preston.
