MIDDLEWICH Cricket Club are gearing up to host their annual awards at a glittering presentation evening on October 15.
The night is open to all members past and present and the club are particularly keen for the younger players to get involved.
Chairman of the club Richard Goulding said: "The evening will look back on a season of considerable achievement for the club as a whole.
"We have kept our place in the Cheshire County League, we have achieved the prestigious Club Mark award, we have run five junior teams and trained more coaches.
"We have also appointed a community coach who is working in local primary schools and even had Channel Four at the club to record a coaching DVD for national release."
He added: "There will be no let up next season as we will be running a girls team for primary school-aged children and we will be extending our primary schools competition in July to include schools from further afield.
"Essentially we want people to share in a very successful cricket club."
The presentation evening will be held at Middlewich Masonic Hall on Saturday, October 15, starting at 7.30pm.
As well as awards, there will be a three-course meal and entertainments.
Tickets, priced £18, can be booked in advance by emailing Richard Goulding at richard.goulding@virgin.net or by ringing 01606 834428.
