RECENTLY-FORMED Runcorn Town made it five games without a win as they lost 2-0 at home to Ashville in the West Cheshire League.
Town, formerly Mond Rangers, went in a half-time 1-0 down after defender Ben Norton hit the ball past teammate Andy Murphy in the 40th minute.
Ashville had several chances to increase the lead in the second half but poor finishing ended up letting them down.
Town struggled the whole game and failed to muster a decent shot on target.
They were put out of their misery when Sid Mort hit Ashville's second eight minutes from time.
Meanwhile, Town Reserves returned with a point from their clash at Heswall Reserves.
A John Walker own goal gave Town the lead on the stroke of half time as he headed Darren Mayers' cross into his own net.
Kev Coles equalised for Heswall on the hour.
All three teams at the club took part in their first photo-shoot since their identity change after receiving new kits from sponsors Webb Building Supplies of Halton Road, Runcorn.
The first team face Ellesmere Port away on Saturday while the Reserves entertain Blacon Youth Club at the Pavillions.
