SUPERMARKET giants Morrisons have confirmed that the Warrington depot is likely to close.
Bosses from the store announced on Friday that a review of the operation revealed three depots "may no longer be required".
And Woolston's Hardwick Grange is one of the threatened three.
Strike action from staff looked to be back on again this week despite talks with company bosses.
Chris Noone, warehouse and distribution director, said: "Many and varied options have been considered and each has been thoroughly assessed.
"We are currently discussing the proposals and consulting with all those concerned with a view to agreeing a plan for the best way forward."
The strike was called after union bosses claimed Morrisons had been secretly plotting to close the depot for months.
The 700-plus staff based at the Woolston depot will be encouraged to apply for jobs elsewhere within the company according to Morrisons.
