TWO drugs seizures were made on the same day - and one was a complete surprise.
Officers from the drugs squad carried out a planned raid at a home in Poplars Avenue, in Orford, on Tuesday.
And, later the same day, bailiffs found a cannabis factory in Crown Street and alerted the police.
The raid in Orford resulted in two men being charged with class A drugs offences and one was also charged with assault.
"Following a lengthy inquiry, Warrington Drugs Squad carried out a drugs raid at a private address," said the head of the unit, Det Sgt Adrian Priest.
Later the same day, the bailiffs made the unexpected find of 1,000 cannabis plants at a rented property in Crown Street, near Warrington Central train station.
British Transport Police are
investigating, as the site is owned by British Rail Property Services.
One man has been arrested and released on police bail in connection with the haul.
"The premises had been operating for some time and people must know this is going on in their community," added Det Sgt Priest.
"Supplying cannabis is still against the law and, if anybody has information on cannabis growing, they should contact us."
