MENTAL health services in Warrington have been praised by the people that matter most - patients who use the service.
A national survey published by the Healthcare Commission revealed that of the 330 service users who took part in the national Mental Health Patient Survey at 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Trust:
l 69 per cent rated
their overall care as excellent, very good or good.
l 90 per cent have trust and confidence in the psychiatrist and 95 per cent trust their community psychiatric nurse.
l 64 per cent felt their psychiatrist listened to them carefully.
l 52 per cent have
access to the phone number of someone from local mental health service they can contact in an emergency.
l 33 per cent had been given access to 'talking therapies' such as counselling or psychotherapy.
Judith Holbrey, chief executive of 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Trust, said: "I am extremely pleased with the outcome of the survey. This achievement is clearly the result of the hard work and dedication of our services. We consistently work with our service users to ensure that the care they receive is of the best possible standard.
"I would like to thank our service users for taking part in this survey and providing us with valuable feedback."
