NEW courses are bringing exciting opportunities to Warrington, says the principal of Chester University, Professor Timothy Wheeler.
Professor Wheeler spoke exclusively to the Warrington Guardian on the eve of The University of Chester's official opening.
Professor Wheeler, aged 54, said: "The Warrington campus is already a tremendous success and Warrington Borough Council has been enormously supportive of our plans.
"Teacher training, which was lost from the campus in 1979, has been brought back, there has been an expansion of the nurses training programme and we are broadening the curriculum, with new courses on offer."
Professor Wheeler has a good track record in bringing innovative courses to new universities, as Dean of Faculty at Dublin City Universityhe set up a communications degree in journalism.
