WARRINGTON'S Territorial Army soldiers have raised £3,185 for two charities with proceeds from a concert in Peninsula Barracks, O'Leary Street, Orford, which was held earlier this summer.
Peninsula Proms featured music by Warrington Pipe Band and The North West Infantry Band for an audience of almost 700, who also enjoyed picnics in the grounds of the barracks.
Warrington's St Rocco's Hospice and the Army Benevolent Fund are this year's charities and will be provided with equal shares of the funds.
The occasion was organised by Staff Sergeant Eric Taylor, who retires this month after completing 37 years of service.
This is the second year that the fundraising concert has been organised and it is set to become an annual event.
