A BURGLAR caught stuffing computer games down his trousers could be spared jail.
Stephen Lawrinson is being assessed for a drug rehabilitation order.
The 27-year-old was due to be sentenced at Warrington Crown Court on Friday after admitting two burglaries in Orford.
He got into a home on Densham Avenue and stole DVDs while the owner was in hospital.
He also got into the home of a man he knew who lived on Crowe Avenue by asking to speak to his wife. But he sneaked into the dining room by pretending he was getting a glass of water and was then seen putting Playstation games down his trousers.
Lawrinson, from Sinclair Avenue, Longford, stole to feed his heroin addiction.
His defence told the court he is 'turning the corner' and trying to beat the drug.
Recorder John Jarman QC adjourned sentencing for two weeks while Lawrinson is assessed for the rehabilitation order but warned him: "There will be no further chances."
