A CREWE man has been arrested in connection with a head-on crash that left four people dead.
An elderly Nantwich couple and two Crewe men lost their lives in the head-on collision on September 11.
Police arrested a 29-year-old man last Friday on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and aggravated vehicle taking.
The man, who has not been named, has since been given police bail until November 12 after helping officers with their enquiries.
Willaston residents Franz and Janice Beran, both aged 65, died when their maroon Mercedes was in collision with a black Audi at the A530 Middlewich Road's junction with Wistaston Green Road at around 1.35am on the Sunday morning.
Father-of-four Darren Wilson, aged 34, and 21-year-old Lee Roberts, both passengers in the Audi, also lost their lives as a result of the horror smash.
The 29-year-old driver of the Audi was being treated at Leighton Hospital for leg injuries and a 21-year-old passenger also received minor injuries in the accident.
Mrs Beran ran Harpers fashion shop on Nantwich Road in Crewe, while she and her husband also ran the Nag's Head pub in Willaston for seven years.
Lee Roberts, who was a computer inputter who worked for Adecco at Bentley Motors, died from his injuries at Leighton Hospital two days after the accident.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision to call 01244 614395.
