AMATEUR opera stars from across the Nantwich area will be delivering a take on the classic musical My Fair Lady at Crewe's Lyceum Theatre next month.
Members of Acton Amateur Operatic Society are now in rehearsals for the popular tale, which charts transformation of Eliza Doolittle from 'ladette' to lady.
In the classic tale, Professor Henry Higgins takes on Cockney flower girl Eliza when Colonel Pickering bets him that he could not pass her off as a Duchess at the Embassy Ball.
Inevitably things never run smoothly and Eliza's identity is challenged by Zoltan Karpathy, an advisor to the Queen of Transylvania.
The cast for the five-night run includes Debbie Cornock as Eliza, John Corcoran as Professor Higgins and David Harrop as the Colonel.
The show is directed and choreographed by Sheryl Haydock-Howorth, with musical direction by Ian Wareham.
Among the famous songs will be Wouldn't It Be Loverly?, The Rain In Spain, On The Street Where You Live and Get Me To The Church On Time.
For tickets to the production, which runs from October 4 to 8, call the box office on 01270 537333.
